Tilt-tele ?
HI every one,i have tried to install my tilt and tele streeing columm after rebuilding it im my 1970.the problem is the manual says maintaining a gap of .03 +.03 between mast jacket and inside semi-circular surface of instrument panel . I don't under is there a space between the firewall i also have problems with that transmission cable that comes up from the auto. Transmission I just don't understand.thanks for the help

The manual is saying that you shouldn't tighten up the column hard against the instrument panel , leaving a small gap would be so you don't crush down on the rod to the ignition switch .
The cable from the auto box is the lock out , It makes it so you cant pull the key out unless its in Park. If your not going to use the lock out , guys just wire the lever on the column in the up position.
