Default 71 Vert Hard top help (rear window)

I've seen various emails about the hard top, but not one regarding the rear window in the auxiliary hard top. Have a 71 and the top DID come with the car; not an aftermarket. Had the car repainted and during that time the window was removed from the hardtop and I don't know why. In any event, I'm trying to put it back together and AIM isn't real clear. I have the original glass. I have the stainless steel frame that goes around it. I have located the clips and screws used to hold on the frame, RPI I believe. What I can't find out is the actual installation process. There appear to be some foam spacers? I have a window adhesive/sealant as well. Does anyone have experience with installing this rear window who can provide some insight, photos or direction as to who to call? I have not had luck with local windshield companies.
Thank you,

I'll give it a shot 1st attach the chrome trim retaining clips with screws. 2nd place the two spacer blocks on the bottom rail. 3rd apply the rear window adhesive. 4th place glass in adhesive making note that it rests on the two spacer blocks. 5th place the bottom chrome trim and clip into place. 6th take the two side/ top chrome trims and push under the bottom chrome trim and match up the sides. Push together and push into the trim retaining clips.

Thank you. That sounds pretty accurate. I thought there were blocks or something to use as a gauge but I can't find where to buy them. Found the clips and screws. I had some but not enough. If I find the blocks I'll go with your instructions.

I used this butyl tape with urethane around the outside perimeter, nice clean well spaced installation. Makes sure you leave room for the trim, urethane does not trim back very well and makes a big mess if you get sloppy with it.

Thank you. How thick is the tape? Did that give you enough gap? I mostly concerned with having the correct gap and not having the window too low or is that not possible due to the trim molding clips?
