Rust hole in 69 frame?

Rust hole in 69 frame?

I'm looking at buying this car. The birdcage, body mounts and radiator support are all fine. The problem is this spot on the frame in front of the passenger side tire. How would you fix this outside of a new frame?

That section of the frame is toast. You cannot fix that with the body on the frame. If that side looks bad, the other side is, most likely, suspect at best. I hope you are getting a steep discount for the car and have the cash and or know how to fix it. Good luck. Jerry

Wow, that’s as bad a kickup area as I’ve seen in a long time. Extensive repairs, best done with the body off.

Wonder what the windshield channels look like.
