First I want to apologize for posting a question that I know has been discussed a million times, none the less here it is...

Ive had my car for a few years now and bought it from a dealer that advertised a “restoration”, I’ve quickly learned how that was done. Anyway the interior lights have never really worked and I decided to start trying to fix them amongst other things. Trying to get the rear compartment light to work has been a pain. I know I have power because after putting a bulb in it it began to burn. I suspect the bulb is the wrong type and just need someone to confirm. The current installed bulb that was what was already installed is a 1036. The car is a 69 coupe. I attached a pic of what was installed in the car when I got it. Thanks for any help and patience.

Dave,
That bulb is incorrect. All interior sockets have two wires so they all need bulbs with two contacts. I believe what you need is a number 90 bulb for that application.
Cheers, Greg

Thanks so much that’s what I figured but just went with Bubba installed. Really appreciate it.
