Default Kwik Lift/ Quick Jack

I am asking for some opinions on this subject. I already have a Quick jack but after using it to raise the car I have found that it is still tight trying to perform any work underneath. So is it worth to sell one and buy the other? At 66 years old I am not as flexible as I once was. Thanks.

How much more room are you looking for? if it’s a few inches you might wanna take a look at their SUV extensions. I do not recommend double stacking blocks anything more than a few inches quick jacks not gonna do it for you

At least 4 inches. I don't think there is enough room now to remove a auto transmission.

I'm 66 also and have the Quick Lift system. With the rubber blocks and raised to the upper level, I have no problem working underneath it.

I dropped and installed the th400 trans on my 72 using the quickjack with single blocks, tight but it worked, has to come out the front of course. SUV adapters with would have given it a few more inches.
Problem with the ramps is what to do with them when you're not working on the car, they take up a lot of room that I don't have

I swapped my TH400 for a 4L60E using the QuickJack with SUV adapters and an adjustable Harbor Freight transmission jack. The jack really didn't go low enough to get the transmission out from under the car without using the tilt levers and tilting the bell housing down and the tail shaft up but it worked. I built some wheel cribs to set the car back down on so I could slide the QuickJack out of the way for more working room under the car. That worked okay but given that the QuickJack moves the car fore and aft as well as up and down, makes me have to wait to locate the wheel cribs until the last possible minute and even then they slide a bit on the floor as the weight settles. But I prefer having the area at the side of the car open for maneuverability.

I bought the Quick Jack as well. Used it a couple times and found they always got in the way. Most of what I was doing required getting access from the sides. Ended up just giving them to my son. What I found easier was to use 2 floor jacks to get the car raised up and then use my car dollies with 2x10's on top to get a little more height. Works for me.

Never used a Quick Jack but finally have a garage where I could get a lift in it. Really helps this old body and has added a number of years to my wrenching. You can get a lower end model for a few hundred $$ more than a Quick Jack, If, you have the room.
