Bracket mounts to the front of the LH or drivers side cylinder head. Yes, it is for your alternator.

Well yeah that was kind of understood - guess I should put that in .

But what off of ??
Bolt holes are to close together (I believe) for a small block.
Maybe on a '68 type exhaust manifold - but don't think so.

Alternator bracket, 1969-71 Chevrolet truck with A/C.
Part number 3902748 and 3902747 are interchangeable.
Not Corvette related but a good piece if you can find someone restoring '69-'71 Cheyenne with air conditioning.
Might be a very small market but if they need one.....
There is currently one listed on eBay but under the wrong heading (1960's Corvette) so he's missing his correct market and a buyer with a '69-'71 C10, C20, K10 or K20 will never know it's there.
Cheers, Greg

Hi Greg,
Thank you so much !! I knew somebody would know exactly what it was
I had gone through all my parts books and the only truck one I have ends in 1967.
I have been corresponding with a fellow in Germany who has a 1968 truck 327 - Turbo 400 WITH A/C but his compressor mounts on the other side.
I sure manage to come up with the most odd ball pieces - I sold the German guy a cast iron 3 groove water pump pulley for his truck LOL
Thanks again - You the man !!
Jerry
PS - this would most likely be p/n '747 with the cstg # 748

Wow. It's amazing that the casting number isn't mentioned in the gmpartswiki... first time for me to see a casting number but the wiki doesn't find it. Not even as superseded.

I keep this bookmarked just for fun: http://gmpartswiki.com/query

I looked around for like an hour last night and the above response is still the first to mention that is interchangeable with 3902747.

Good job finding it.

Yes it was a great job by Greg

I have never tried looked up cstg #'s on Parts Wiki - I think you may have just been lucky where the cstg # was the actual p/n

Thanks to all ; especially Greg !
