Hood insulation pin

I just attached one of mine last weekend and used this, photo attached below.
To help keep the pin secured to the underside of the hood while the epoxy was curing I used a piece of 2x4, couple of shims, and a section of 1" OD PVC pipe to fit flush around the pin and apply equal pressure to the base of the hood insulation pin. Shims (old paint stir sticks) between the 2x4 and the PVC allowed me to put a very slightest amount of pressure on the underside of the hood with the hood up and latched. I let it sit overnight to cure. Rock solid. The dark gray epoxy was a pretty good color match to the original corvette bond.
