Loose inside rear view mirror tips
There are two spots that can be tighten easily
One is of course where the mirror arm connects to the arm that drops down (assuming yours is somewhere near the year of my 72)
I would normally suggest loosening it first so to "break it free" that way you can feel if it's actually tight vs stuck. Careful as the arm that comes down from the windshield frame is thin around that screw
The other place is the plate that captures the ball end of the upper arm at the windshield frame
There is one screw that holds the plate tight, you'll need to remove that rubber cover that is tucked in around the ball and the screw is at the back. If the screw is all the way in tight already you'll need to remove the little plate and bend it a little to allow it to tighten more.
If it's where the ball go into the mirror..... the mirror glass will need to be removed to get at it and for most people it's easier to buy a new one at that point
