Default Affordable pro touring wheels?

Anybody have any suggestions on affordable wheels for a pro touring / restomod style. My favorite are the Boze Clutch wheels but they are out of my price range.

Very nice looking wheels. Problem would most likely be finding them in the proper size, along with the proper backspacing and caliper clearance, for a C-3....

I liked those wheels also, but the price led me to having American Racing Wheels custom built for my car,

Would you be open to OEM C5 and up wheels? Like Gumby wheels or the like?
They can typically be had pretty reasonably.
I have a set of staggered C5 Gumby wheels I’ve been toying around with powdercoating them black and sticking them on my 74, but my heart is really set on staying with my old school wheels like were so popular on the vettes when I was drooling over Hot Rod magazines in the 70’s - 80’s.

Not sure if this will help you or not, but here's what I did. 18x10 Rocket Attacks with 5.5 inch backspacing. They do have several backspacing options in the 8, 9 and 10 inch wide wheels so you get the fit and stance you are looking for.

Thanks. Its been a few years since I purchased them but I believe they are 18 x 9.5 rears with 5.25 inch back spacing and 275/40r18 tire. The fronts are 18 x 8 with 4.5 inch back spacing and 245/45r18 tire. I did eventually put a 1/2 inch machined spacer on each front to move the wheel out closer to the fender. Something to keep in mind, these are not light weight wheels. I believe they were originally designed for S-10 pickups. I am not building a race car. I wanted a wheel that could withstand the occasional pothole impact without bending. That, and the tire choices are so much better with an 18 inch wheel. They do look pretty good, but I'll be honest, if I could afford a set of Forge Line wheels, they would be on my car.

Hey Jim, are you squared up on those wheels? The front seem to have a smaller lip. Might be a optical illusion. I’m trying to find a set of wheels to square up. This is what I’ve currently got.

Everyone thinks I’m crazy for wanting a different set of wheels, but man I just really want that squared up look.
also did you have to do any modifications to get them to fit other than offset trailing arms?

Okay, Thinking about staggering 18s and 19s. Any reason not to?

Any problems with 4.5 in backspacing in the front and 5.5 in the back?

Hey Mike
They are square with 285/35s. It must be the angle. I had to remove the factory rear sway bar. They clear the factory trailing arm with the parking brake cable relocated also.

And I don't think you're crazy for going with squared Wheels.

Hi, what suspension are you using? I see Wilwoods so curious if its on stock spindles or something aftermarket. I am about to order the same 18x10 rockets WITH 5.5 BS for my 72, but I have just installed a complete Ridetech suspension front and rear and checking if they clear. thanks !

If you don't mind running adapters (not spacers) to make up the difference, you can find OEM and repro Corvette and other GM wheels of later generations. Some BMWs have a VERY similar bolt pattern, and should be functionally interchangeable.

I picked up a set of 18x9.5s that I need to mount.

Here's an example of the idea (not mine), with photos of the adapters.
