It looks like my stock 69 hood. But it could be any one from 1968 - 1972

Pics aren't the best.

It's a 1968 to 1972 small block hood It's a short hood as on those years the cars had a seperate windscreen wiper (cover) that moved up to let the wipers come out . The same year cars with the big block and the LT1 engine option had a differant height centre shape in the same length hood

I think it is 1968 to 1971 hood as a 1972 hood hold open support mount is at a lower location then the one shown. It could be used on a on a earlier Corvette but would have to use a 1972 hold open support.

Thanks everyone. The Corvette Image catalog lists a 68-69 hood and 70-72 hood as different part numbers.

2 Photos first 1968 to 1971 hood notice the mount point is higher up from the hood hinge as the support is much longer

1972 hood mount support point is lower

Hood support for 68 to 71 was around 14.5"
For a 1972 was at least 2 " shorter
So a 1972 support on a 1971 hood or earlier the hood would not open to its normal height.

can you post pics of the hood latches. I believe the latches are different on a 68 and are in a different location than the others
