Bought mine direct from the local manufacturer and had the same problems. I think they are all going to fit about the same.

Yes, it's a lot more work than I anticipated. If you want to save the seam so you can remove it if needed it's even more work. I gave up on mine and ended up bonding it to the car and then glassing in the seam. Not the way I wanted to do it, but the more I worked on it the worse the fit. Good luck and don't give up!

 

Had the same issue with my L88 flares total rubbish off ebay. Only positive is that you will be a master with fibreglass by the end of it
