dynamat...what next

I have installed dynamat on floor of 68 vett... do you install original deadner or leave it out and install carpet padding and carpet...first timer...don't know what to do next..Thanks..Malcolm

I reused mine..especially over cat area
why not..
i used pieces to kill vibration and sound and specific heat areas..

After with repaired aluminum foil

Before, that cat gets hot..only 29000 miles 42 years..maybe a lot of idling

Just dont build the underlayers up too much.....it will cause problems when you tuck the carpet under the door sills/kick panels.

However, You can trim excess underlayment where needed.

Spent the better part of two weeks installing Dynamat and insulation on the entire front and rear floor boards. Used Dynamat extreme to start with and then overlaid it with Reflectix purchased from Lowe's. Not hard work, but very time consuming to say the least. Trimming the carpet for the rear wheel humps was a complete PIA but as you move forward, it becomes easier and easier. Below are some inspiration photos for you to help you see the end result!
