Question, I've owned my corvette for 4 years now with a destroyed rear bumper. Can i put a used bumper from a 74 to 77 on my car till i can get the one i want?

Yes you can but that's just as much work as putting on a new bumper, maybe more. Fiberglass replacements are fairly reasonable. If you get a used one for free, then it might be worthwhile.

FWIW: tail lights and tail light mounting were one year only for 74. Could be a hassle on a 77.

Original were urethane I believe and pliable to make up for the body panel mismatches. The UV sun rays make them brittle and they literally crack and fall apart. Our first 75 had mint looking bumpers when we bought it but once out of the garage and stored outside in the sun they cracked in a few months. Fiberglass has to be fit as it won't line up in most cases. Once done it really looks great , until the first impact.
