Default ac heater fan

hi guys I have a 70 small block and purchase a new fan but I heard that other year cars have better and faster fan motors that work better.is it worth spending the extra money thanks the one I put in for the 70 just don't blow very good

Bobby,
Much to do has been written on this topic. I would disconnect the ground wire to the fan and run a thicker ground wire from the motor directly to real steel preferably the frame. See how this works first. If still not satisfied then you can purchase a 1985-86 C-4 blower motor assy complete. Later longer fan will not fit on your current motor assy. You will need to fabricate a 1" thick spacer out of wood or plastic to go between the longer fan blades and the firewall. Some have done this with less than positive reviews saying the improvement was mediocre.

Have done as Marshall has indicated and is well documented on the forum. It did improve the airflow from the stock fan,however it is still weak compared to modern fans
