Hello, I have a 76 corvette and when I connect the batterie to it will start to buzz like if a door is open which it is not and I would like to know how to stop that noise because even if my key isn’t in it will make it regardless and another problem I have is that when I put my hazard lights on they don’t blink they just stay solid which I’m not sure if it is normal or if there is a connection problem?
It could be one of the two buzzers your car has. One is a seat belt warning buzzer, the other is a key warning buzzer. The key warning buzzer was located above the speedo, but you can un-plug this by pulling the power wire from the fuse panel. The seat belt warning buzzer is located behind the passenger side dash pad and you could just remove the buzzer. The key warning buzzer is probably being caused by a failure in the key warning buzzer switch located in the steering column.
Both are shown in the picture below.
In regards to your flasher issue. It could be the turn signal switch but before I tried anything I'd replace the flasher first and make sure both terminals where the flasher plugs in are clean and corrosion free.
Then I would refer to the picture below the warning buzzer picture. This is a "simplified schematic" which will make it easier on you to diagnosis the issue.
