Hello fellow enthusiasts, looking for a little help. I've had my 1973 corvette coupe for 40 years and I'm starting a body off restoration. I'm going to have the engine rebuilt and add some more Horse Power ( up from 190).
Anyone have suggestions for a good set of Headers, not looking for cheap. Looking for good quality and of course need a good fit.
Thank you.

I have good luck with Hedman or Hooker......they both have a "premium" line.....you want this. Also be aware of the ten thousand footnotes that are in the catalog.....this is important.
Ceramic coated is the only way to fly.....
Exhaust is something I like to spend money once on and be done. I almost always go stainless steel. Of course your location will decide if stainless is a must or if you could get away with something else. These cars get hot as I am sure you know so a ceramic coated header might be best for you. Jet hot coatings has hood reviews as an example.
in the end there are many ways to go from 2.5 Ram Horn manifolds to block huggers to long tubes to side pipes. I would ask your engine builder if there is a header style preferred for your engine modification combo. In the end it will probably be your choice.
I like the “Ram horn” manifolds for a leak free no nonsense exhaust. Just installed hooker super comp side pipes which seem like good quality. I have had good luck with Sanderson and dougs headers on other cars I have built.
keys are flange thickness and primary tube size. If your paying for quality headers you should not have to make any dents or the like.
Keep in mind different style headers have different performance effects. A block hugger or shorty header offers different results then a long tube.
I recently went to 2.5" Ramhorns after 30+ years of different headers. I recognize that I'm an old bastage, but I really do like how it all fit up with the 2.5" exhaust.
