Default 7T2vette ???

Hey Bruce, we need you (and guys like you) here to keep it together.

It's been a couple of months but I see that most of the build threads 7T2vettehad are locked and he's noticeably absent. I sent him a PM back when I saw thing locking (end of October-ish) but never heard anything back.
Anyone else guessing we've have lost another (Alan, Dub, etc) long time member (20 years, 10,000 posts) with technical and tribal knowledge as well as some pretty neat, innovative custom mods into retirement ?

( I also realized that personally, I stuck my nose into his build-threads where I shouldn't have, something I need to be more careful of in the future)

M

If he leaves, then this forum is officially dead.

I've been around this forum just long enough to have benefited from Alan71, DUB, 7T2vette, and others who are taking a break. I miss their insights too. That said, there are SEVERAL others on this forum who continually provide help and insights - including the OP. If I started naming them, I'd forget some. I also spend some time on the C7 (have a '17) and C8 (thinking of getting one) forums. There are great people there too, but there are a few 'keyboard tough guys' there - especially the C8 forum - that act as a buzzkill for me. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday. Paul

Yep. This forum is in no danger of dying. Others will find us and provide their input. That said, I doubt there is a topic that hasn't been covered, some many times over, in the 21 years of existence. The search function is your friend. Also, there are lots of other C3 forums out there for answers to questions.

A lot of the C7/C8 guys seem to have a holier than thou attitude. I find it amusing, all you can do is laugh. What sucks is I can see where it would drive away potential members.

I wasn't trying to insinuate that the forum was going to "die" if any specific person (or people for that matter) left. Just sort of pointing out that 7T2vette seems to have bailed.

^^^^ Hi Mooser, you didn't insinuate that at all. Another poster did. And I think he was lamenting the fact that we've 'lost' a few very informative regulars over the past year or so, and maybe having a little fun at the same time. Keep up the great help!!

And we've gained a few knowledgeable members. It all balances out.

There are a LOT of really great & helpful members here, but yes, we`ve lost a few. There are others, (like me) who seem to fade in & out from time to time.

The C8 forum is probably the most entertaining, when stuff stops moving in the C3 area. I mean, you can only hunt for so many tech tips before you need someone to laugh at.
