If the car is really nice, then for a retail car its probably not too far off the mark. I had a brief look at it too.... he's got a few chrome bumper C3s
It's probably best if you post the link to the car in question for a value assessment. Most people in the market for a C3 will have all of FB, CL, eBay etc and the other usual and popular websites on permanent search, so will have seen most of the cars for sale at given price point windows.
I wasn't sure about the fitment of the egg crate fender grills which seem to protrude at their rear edge, and the front pass fender seems a little off, but could be nothing. Inspection is the way to go.

yeah didnt notice the antenna and then radio delete. the 7 inch rims in the front is no problem to fix. the steering wheel is from a 1968 as are the 7 inch front wheels. its had a few things done but the patina is right on for a car that is 50 years old. it looks like repaint of the original factory yellow color. hei distributor is a blessing because i remember the problems i had with my 1969 points distributor. small things no big to fix or correct. this probably had a radio and they just placed a block off plate. i dont think its a great deal but its not bad either.
I like it. Color combination is very1970. Short run year as well so that's a bit of a plus. I agree with others, a few things have been changed over the years but nothing that can't be corrected easily enough. I think the seats may be installed on the wrong sides. Check the slot for the shoulder harness. Should be outboard. Is the seller claiming 66K orig. miles? Clutch pedal looks higher. I'd ask for some doc. proof maybe. Get it on a hoist and see if any suspension maintenance/upgrades have been done. Lots of rubber under there to wear out no matter what the real mileage is. If the car checks out I think $25K is believable.
