Since you asked, I would put some dark spoke Torque Thrust on it and turn those white wall inside out. The dark spoke will look better than the grey ones with your color car. Forget about buying new RWL tires. If you do a search you will find that RWL and white walls made in the past few years will turn brown and nothing short of painting them will make them white again. There is a company called tire stickers that you can buy from if you want GOOD RWLs.

Bought my first '71 L46 a few months ago and am in the middle of restoration. At first, I was thinking of keeping it as stock as possible, but over time, my thinking has changed to favor some performance and safety modifications (that will not drastically change the look) in order to create more function and ultimately, more enjoyment. If you're not going to have it judged, just save the original parts and make your enhancements. I'm adding a brake booster and Vintage Air, for example, which will make for a much better experience, especially here in So Cal. I'm also doing a complete insulation of the cab to keep the heat down. Congratulations and enjoy!
