Default 1977 Corvette Body Mount Replacement

Hello,
I am currently in process of replacing the body mounts on my 77 corvette and have run into an issue. When I attempted to lift the body I noticed that the front of the body (from the firewall forward) seems to be stuck down to the frame and only the middle and back are lifting. I managed to remove 6 of the body mount bolts problem free but the 2 bolts under the dashboard broke off due to rust. I made sure to cut any remaining bolt off that may cause an issue when lifting the body but this still didn't seem to help. I've seen people life the body over broken bolts with the heads missing so I don't think this is my problem. As far as things I have disconnected, I looked at several lists and have managed to disconnect the steering column, brake cylinder, rear frame to bumper mounts, battery ground cable, the 8 body mount bolts, and some others. I don't intend to take the body right off of the frame, but just enough to I can replace to front 2 cage nuts and of course the mounts themselves. I'm not sure what is still holding in the front or what I may have forgotten to remove but I certainly do not want to put anymore stress into the body.
Hopefully some one has the answer to this problem.
Thanks in advance,
-Andrew.

Do you have the front extension bolts loosened and removed at the front horn section of the frame? If you do not you are flexing your body in front of the firewall. There are four bolts on each side and removing them will allow you to separate the frame from the nose of the body.

Let me know if I can supply any additional pictures. Sorry about the shoe. LOL.

Default 77 Corvette Body Mounts

Thank you for the help. I will give that a try once the weather gets a bit nicer and I have more time on my hands. I will post an update once I (hopefully) progress further.
