Default New Lift Installed

DirectLift from Derek Weaver

Been about 7 years since we moved and I sold my 2-post lift. Bought this 4-post and I think I'm really going to like it, very sturdy. Plus model so a little longer and a little taller, no more head bumps! Not to worry about brake and wheel work, about the time I bought this my brother offered me his MaxJax for next to nothing. I was like yeah, this is cheaper than the jack option for the 4-post.

BTW - '79 with a 396 SBC & custom built 700R4 ready to go in. Yeah, I'm stoked!\

Duh, forgot the pics

Congrats on the lift. One inexpensive way around doing suspension or brake work on the lift is to purchase a three bag air jack. It is portable and can lift up to 6000lbs. I got one in December and love it. At $117 it was a great investment. Jerry

You say sturdy. No wobble if pushed on one corner post? Do you have it bolted down. I'm pulling the trigger on a Advantage lift but at 3500 I hesitate . Care to give a price range for the direct lift. Looks great. Can't wait to get one. I'm ready. Good luck.
Thanks

There is a little as I've not bolted it down, but the post's open faces are rolled inwards and the teflon slides are fitted into that roll as well. Advantage uses a different post, with the locks external vs internal to the post, but since both have to move I would assume there is a little wiggle there too. I have used the wheel kit to move the lift, with the Vette on it, as I had to rotate it 90* to load the car. I have no qualms about it not being bolted down. The Direct Lift is about $3500 shipped, but it is the extra tall, extra long lift. With it fully lifted I have about 8" of clearance, I'm 5'10". Many companies will let you pick it up for about a $400 savings.
