Default 68-69 seat frame

Does anyone have a picture of a 68-69 seat frame? Specifically the top outside corner where the two seat belt guide bolts are? I want to install the seat belt guides in my seats that are already covered and would like to see what/where the nuts are so I can have a better way of finding them without poking holes in my seat covers. I know the general area of where they sit but I can feel anything under the seat cover. Thanks.

I usually take more photos, but this is the only decent photo of my 69 seats I just did. Not a great angle but hope it helps. I'll look for some older photos of my previous 69 seats and see if there's a better view.

Here's one from some other 69 seats I restored.

Thanks! So do you have bolts in the holes while you painted them or do they protrude like that on the frame?

They protrude like that. It's like a rivet nut type thing that is threaded.

Thanks! I should easily be able to feel those but I can’t. I can feel the frame and follow it to the headrest but not the raised nuts. I’ll check again this week and see if I was missing them.

I need to do the same thing. I have a pair of the shoulder belt guides and have been waiting to install them. I did not know that the screws that held
in the guides had a machine thread?
Anyone know the size of those screws, as I am sure I do not have them.

Here's a photo of the old seat covers and foam showing the cut-outs. Thought this might help...at least give you a reference. You do have to use your fingers to push down and feel for the Screw hole nubs. If they're not there is there a chance the tops might not be 69 seats?

There is always a chance the top may have been switched! The photo with the measurements is great. I think I feel them on the DS now to check the PS. The problem is my PS seat is the low back release which I think was only used in 68? Did the 68 top frames have the same nuts for the shoulder belt guide? I know there was the shoulder belt option in 68.

68 Shoulder belts just went over the seat. There were no seat belt guides, and I do not think that 68's had the threaded inserts because of this. Lou.

I figured as much!!! I think I feel the nuts on the 69 seat but nothing on the 68 seat. Now I need to hunt down a 69 seat!

If you pull the cover off the top of the 68 seat you should be able to drill and install 2 rivet-nuts instead looking for a 69 seat back frame
