As far as I know there is nothing in the 82CE service manual about the ADJUSTABILITY of the rear hatch hinge KEEPRS...I figured it out myself.
Hinge = the aluminum C parts
Keepers =attached to the baskethandle with captive(ish) plates with oval slots to move it front back and side-to-side.
The adjustability built in originally is in-adequate...about 1/4".
Open the slots up until you can get the window where you want it.
You can remove the basket handle trim and EXTEND the seatbelts for service without having to take the whole world apart.
Then you can adjust the latch pins in the center of the locking pawls to facilitate two finger opening ans closing of the hatch.
SCHOOSH.....the Millenium Falcon should be so lucky!
