Default suspension help please

hello all . going to install my suspension next week end . my question is do i need to put some kind of pad on the lower control arm or are the coils direct to metal . i have the rubber isolators for the top of the coil

I do but mostly to avoid squeaks. I use a thin strip of old bicycle tire tube.

GM never used them. When installing the springs, make sure you index them correctly to the top of the frame pocket. The spring edge should be within 3/8" of the inspection hole in the frame. Nice job on the suspension finish. Jerry
