What should I buy then?
You are correct, there are no connections to the alternator from the engine harness.
The Forward Lamp Harness is the correct harness to the alternator. LINK:https://www.lectriclimited.com/forwa...harness-101999
Sorry for the misinformation.

Ok, lets start over. I have got good news.
This red wire that is cut in half and supposed to go on alt is having good voltage.

I dont know why they did what they have done, but I will connect back the way it was and I think I am good. About electric choke I will connect it to wiper yellow wire.

I dont think anything was done to headlight switch because there is no voltage on lps connect.

I have to ask about this black wire, that is having also good voltage, but isnt connected with anything.

And about this two connector under the steering wheel

1.

2.

The single black wire with the white plastic connector housing, does it have a slot in it?
If so, open up the black plastic split conduit and follow it back and see if it is spliced into a Dk.Green wire.
If so it is circuit #35 on Page 20

Yes, thank you so much. You are right.
These two plugs are for Cruise control and the other one goes in buzzer, that I dont have. Its already on a buy list
This black one is really green, but over the years outside apperantly turned into black, but when I followed it back was more and more green

Guys, I am very thankful for your help.
Now I am waiting gasket kit for my carb, till then I have some work to do with this wires and vacuum hoses.
I have also figure it out from the first post, where I have posted pics with cut vacuum hoses - they are really from charcoal canister.

Kind regards

The same Warning Buzzer was used in both the 1977-1978 Models.
They can be hard to find in working condition.
The GM Part Number is 377596.
The New Old Stock (NOS) Buzzers sell for between $40-$75 USD.
The speaker housing may vary in shape depending on the manufacture.
Here are a couple different styles both are the 377596 Buzzer unit.
Good Luck!

Thank you againg.

Could you please give me advice how to best tune up my carb? I have 1406 edelbrock carb, edelbrock manifold and accel coil.
Settings now are 0.98 main jet and plain springs. Thats how I bought it, but it doesnt sound right to me.
I would like to have more rpm at the end and smoother idle. Now its almost like flooding.
Kind regards

Hey, sounds great!

I’m a little late to this party, but here is a link to various guides and information on your carb:

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/e...a/instructions

Apparently, your car was once owned by the famous Bubba Dumbrowski. This is a made up name for someone who does really poor work, often unsafe doing more harm than good. Listening to your engine, I think you are fixing all of Bubba’s mistakes. Well done!

Hello,
I have one more question.
This green wire on picture in engine bay on passenger side.
Quite long, coming out of this tube with one more darker green which goes to ac compressor.
Where does brighter green wire plug in?

Thanks, be well
