School me on offset trailing arms please!
So the suspension on my 69 could use a refresh. As the first part of that I really need to replace (looked at rebuilding, not for me) the trailing arms. The wheels/tires I have are fine for now, and I really don't have it in the budget to replace both them and the trailing arms. So since I have to replace them, I'm considering offsets to allow possible future wider tires/different rims.
1.) If I do put offsets on, can I use the wheels tires that are on it now, or do they offsets require different backspacing and things from the stock trailing arms?
2.) If I do decide to put wider tires on in the future, will that also require me to modify the wheel wells, or are they already big enough for wider tires?
3.) Anything that I am missing?
Thanks,
Simon

Here is what a offset T-Arm adds. Allows you to increase the Backspace to widen the rim without changing the fender wheel position. This allows for ~ 10.5 - 11" wide wheel in the rear. which is good for 295-305 wheel.
