Bilstein shock dont fit

Bilstein shock dont fit
fitted my new tubular control arms today look good . but went to fit the new Bilstein shock and they dont fit as the lower mounting holes are to far apart would it be bad if i elongate the bolt hole on the shock about 3mm on each side

I had Bilsteins on my GW lower arms. I just took a look at their configuration and the lower mounting tabs have elongated slots for the mounting bolts. They look a little too neat for me to have done this with a round file, but maybe I did enlarge them. In any case they were on the car for a couple of years and I can't imagine why you would be creating a problem with what you've described.
