Did later or earlier years come with a longer tab that actually had a bolt run up to secure it rather than that tab that's bent over?
I was over looking at a car being done (72 vert) and they have the frame on a hoist (full Detroit speed front/rear suspension, what a thing of beauty) and anyway there was a few things on the frame that I noticed were different and they thought the frame was aftermarket (they bought a partially done car and took it a different direction)
So I was wondering about the frame, it's not a roadster shop or sr or anything, looks like stock except for a few things like this
I can’t comment on the tab as my car is a 73 convertible, but do you think Bubba was a little generous with the nuts for the parking brake adjustment. Six nuts seems like a lot, I am guessing the cable is stretched and Bubba didn’t see a reason to buy a new cable, plus he was able to use all the nuts left over from his previous repair job.
Ahhh, his was sort of like that with the bolt, (except just a square strip not necked down) I wish i had taken some pictures (of everything)
Getting closer

Checked my AIM's 1973 last year for the cable with bent over tab on cross member. 74 and 75 used the bolt to cross member. 76 and on no longer had the cable to frame.
You have way more AIMs than I have
(someday I'll get a few more digital versions, handy to look up things like this)
I wonder if the tab was still on the frame in 76 and not used...
Thanks

Did not look at the photo that close and it is welded. After looking at the 2 photos above it appears that the change to the design. Was to secure the tab now with the bolt instead of just the strength of the bent tab. The tab may have stayed there for a few years later in production but need someone with a 76 to confirm that.
My 72 frame has a welded bracket, no bolt.
My 74 frame has the bolt.
My 75 frame has the bolt.
My 76 frame has no no bracket at all.
Mystery solved.
