Default Reverse Lights Repair not electrical

After checking all the electrical connections and fuse I broke into the console. With the switch on, I jumped the green and pink wires. The lights came on so I removed the Automatic Neutral Safety Switch. The pin in the shifter had sheared off. I broke 3 drill bits trying to remove the rest of the pin. I used a part of one drill bit as a new pin. Then I had to readjust the switch position.

Yeah they just use a roll (split) pin, hard as the hubs... and have the split to make sure you break off small drills
For future reference, you can usually tap them out with a punch. New split pins are available at any hardware store
