New member here, I've been browsing the site for a while, mostly soaking up knowledge and enjoying members' rides.
I have a 69 that I purchased a couple of years back, I got a decent deal on it, but it has a issue I've been wanting to fix for a while now.
The previous owner for some reason decided to shave the rear lip where it raises up at the trunk. It is pretty much flat now.
Attached photos to show the area of concern.
Any ideas on how to get the original look back? Custom fiberglass work? Aftermarket spoiler?
I am planning to get a vinyl wrap on the vehicle as well.
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
I would make a mold from an undisturbed car, then layup a replacement section in the mold, then splice it into the rear. Not much more work than replacing a quarter panel. Another option would be to find a true “donor” rear section and cut it out and splice in.
