Replacing the windshield on my 72 with date coded windshield. Can someone tell me if date code and information should be read from outside of car or from inside of car. Thank you
Thank you Easy Mike. Seems like a dumb s—-t question but Place that does glass says you read it from inside a ( supposedly) all original car locally reads from inside but I have also seen date coded windshield that read from outside just trying to get it right
I believe the WS label and date codes are readable from inside the car. Door glass labels and dates are read from the outside of the car. Here are a couple of pics of front windshields. On both of these windshields you can see a reflection of the label, ignore that. They are read from the inside. The orange car is a bowtie car I believe.

jhudec is correct. The pictures he shows from the outside are "mirror images". If you are interested the convertible top date is read from the outside.
