how do i take off the bracket on the windshield wiper assembly
the bracket on the right side of the assembly broke off where the front vent bolts down i can't tell what is on the end of the bracket , A nut? Pressed on? i don't know it's a 1969 never mind i bought the whole assembly

yes its the bracket that the front vent sits on that flat part of the bracket is broke off ,so i have nothing for that vent to sit on ,I'm trying to address this ,without taking that whole assembly out of the car, but i don't think that's going to happen

There are 8 screws that hold the grill to the wiper door assembly. The piece that you describe as being broken is part of the wiper door. The same piece was broken on my 68 and I fixed it with JB weld.

It's not that tough to take out of the car- 10-24 threads-
However- make sure the shims (#5) don't drop off inside the fender.
Here's a pic- where exactly is it broken?
It's NOT easily replaced- I'd look a whole assembly ( sort of stupid prices )- maybe use a "muggy" weld fix (had good and bad results) or use a "L" bracket over the break- drill some holes and bolt the L bracket on each side
