Door opens halfway

Door opens halfway
Hey guys just a quick question. While I’m busy freshening things up on my car I’d like to tackle one job that’s always puzzled me. The drivers door opens, closes, and locks no problem, only issue is it won’t open all the way only about half way. And when it’s open it wants to close like it dosent hit the detent to keep it open at the halfway point. Any ideas? Thanks guys

Ok so I was able to look at the car today. Looks like the spring is fine but I guess Bubba went ahead and worked on the hinge. The bottom portion of the top hinge is broke. So I’ll have to replace that. Hopefully I can just replace the door section and not touch the body mount side as I have already reinstalled my dash.
