So, I was poking around the engine bay of my ‘81 this afternoon, only because I hadn’t seen it since November, and noticed that there were leaves stuck between the transmission cooler and the radiator. A few questions
How did they get there
How do I get them out without pulling the radiator
should there be something around that cavity to prevent debris, like leaves, from getting trapped in there
No, it’s not an animal nest, the leaves are loose in there. The leaves are stuck between the radiator and whatever is in front of the radiator. The transmission cooler?

pics always helpful
if me i try dry first compressed air or if none ...leaf blower...
then water blasts..
careful of the fins...slide cardboard (thin) as a tool to push out..
Do you have an air compressor? I think Farbor Hate Tools has a steel wand about two foot long with a On / Off valve. Couple blasts with that, and while you're at it, clean the Rad front, the condenser front, And Rad rear area.
No, it didn’t look like that DEVS77. That looks like an animal had camped out there. There were whole leaves stuck between the radiator and the condenser. The view was very limited but I could also see some pine needles stuck in the radiator.
I don’t know how the leaves got in there. I’ll have to add “check for leaves”to my “keep an eye on” list.
