Default Door Hinge Area Factory Paint

My 1970 has been repainted twice: first with blue lacquer and then with a red enamel. Both times, the painters just grossly sprayed paint into the door hinge area. I've been able to remove most of the re-spray paint. Since the painters just resprayed over dust, dirt, I've been able to remove most of the respray paint with a Dremel rotary wire brush. Under the resprayed paint, it looks like the hinge area was painted black. The car was originally Laguna Gray. I've found no traces of Laguna Gray, but perhaps not surprising since the car had extensive body work before the first blue lacquer paint.

My question: How was this area painted at the factory? Did the car come from the factory with black painted hinges; i.e. no Laguna Gray? My 68 is no help since it also was repainted before I bought it.

Door hinge area. The blue tape is over the ends of the hinges to keep me from hitting my head. Notice the PW harness. The rubber tube that protect these wires will be replaced.

Thanks for the great replies. I was particularly interrested in photos of the door.....the black painted front side (KingRat) and the body color painted top of the door front (PJO).
