I've never seen the first book but have and use rather frequently the Colvin book Corvette by the Numbers. It was recommended to me years back when building my Corvette library and in addition to date, part numbers include great schematics.
When I started in this 'mania'...there was an old saying...."buy the book before you buy the car."..so I did.
I'm probably up to 200 by now.
As I recall each book has its good points and bad points.....so together you have a lot of GOOD. The by the numbers book stops at C-3...so it's more specific to this forum.
I'm an idiot..... turns out I already have the "corvette by the numbers" book.
let me explain,
I went away at the weekend and a club member showed the blue book around, I thought that's a lot of great info in there.
got home monday arvo and was looking on the net and found the other book, got confused.... thought i'd ask here about them,
was just about to buy the book, turns out i had bought the "corvette by the numbers" book couple years ago and it was sitting on my bookshelf.
have found a cheap 2nd hand copy of the "corvette ID numbers" on ebay and purchased it.
you can never have too much information.
and yes a lot of was consumed over the club weekend away, hence my brain fade.
