If your heater fan does not run @ hi speed any more, most likely your fan relay is bad or wired wrong (the one located on the firewall). I would fix that verses running a "cheater / bubba wire

High is direct power, no resistor. If it's not running full speed I would look into putting a larger ground wire on and grounding it to the block/heads/accessory brackets somewhere. I put on a 10 gauge wire and grounded mine to the A/C bracket bolt.
Ultimately the C3 fan does not generate a ton of air. I ended up putting on a C4 fan. Not fun, but MUCH better air flow.
If a guy was looking for a way to get power directly from the charging system I would run it from the starter lug that comes from the battery located right below the fan vs running a wire all the way from the alternator. I don't think it's a good idea but if so inclined that's where I would get the power.

Umm, do you have any further info about this? Parts, process, etc.? How did you get the idea to do that? Why does it provide better airflow? Function of the vanes in the fan?
Any info greatly appreciated!

My thread on the process. you can do a search on the subject here in the forum and come up with many such threads. It's a massive improvement. Very happy with the results.
