Howdy
I have had my 74 Stingray Convertible for about 10 years. It spent 28 years in storage and when I got it ethanol killed the fuel system in 9 months. My son and I replaced the tank and all components then the the fuel pump failed. We had to pull the AC compressor and broke a bolt removing the bracket in the head. One thing led to another and my son and I dropped a 327 mouse 350hp cam in it with Dart heads, torquer II intake, shorty headers, and 700 CFM Holley carb. My son stripped the Harmonic Balancer bolt. Stock helicoil failed. My son was killed by a gangbanger that he ran off the business he was a manager at. I lost interest in the Corvette project.
That was 8 years ago. I have finally got past the morning and need to finish the build. I am working the brakes right now. It is rusty sludge. I have the reservoir off and have new brake lines and caliper rebuild kits ordered. My plan is to get the brakes back to where they are working and drop the rest to a master mechanic to go back through the engine and fuel system to get it back on the road.

Sorry to hear that you had to join a group that no one wants to be in.... parents who`ve lost kids.
I`m the father of six boys, and we lost two.... a year apart.
Both by their own hand, on depression meds. It never goes away, but it does get easier to bear.
ANY of us that have posted our similar experiences here are available to you via PM AT ANY TIME
if you just need someone to listen. People always say they know how you feel, but precious few really do.
Important to remember, you`re not alone in this.
