Throw out bearing replacement
I will tell you that getting the trans out is much easier if you remove all the bellhousing bolts and then maneuver the bellhousing to one side to allow more room to clear the trans input shaft.
i also made a tool to help when lowering the trans with a floor Jack. I bought a 4” PVC pipe cap and cut slots a little wider than the trans front bearing cap on opposite sides and a hole in the bottom. Then replaced the pad on the floor jack with pipe cap, placed with the open side up. I then used this to support the front of the trans on the bearing cap where the throw out bearing slides to allow me to control the trans while lowering it. The rear of the trans rests on the cross member so it was well supported allowing me to concentrate on maneuvering the trans without having to support it myself. Use it in reverse to help reinstall it. As I said, not easy either way but this helped a lot.
