Topped off oil on my 72 with a 350 engine. Filled to the full mark as measured with a cold engine.
Did about seven drives with car and after two of the drives, I experienced oil dripping from right muffler as pictured below. Was oil top off an issue or something more involved such as rings or other mechanical part? I have not noticed loss of power, rough running or any other problems associated with drivability, noises, blue smoke, etc.
Looks like a gas leak to me. Check the fuel and vent lines. If you think it's oil, check the plugs on the right bank of the engine. Jerry
Yeah it does look like that, but it seems that if it was gasoline the smell would be strong. When my fuel pump had a tiny leak at the seam, my garage reeked of gasoline odor. If it is gasoline, it could be a real fire hazard leaking near the mufflers like that. The owner needs to get to the bottom of this quickly.
