The ammeter worked before I rewired the vehicle this past winter. Now it is not working, so I am assuming I put something back together incorrectly. I have searched a lot of the threads here however I figured I would just post my wiring configurations on both the horn relay and starter and see if anybody sees something out of whack.
(Looking at the starter solenoid, the big black wire is actually the power ... on the top terminal along with the red wire. The left post is the yellow wire and the right is the purple, sorry for the poor picture)

I’m not sure what year you’re working on, but I just looked at the horn relay on my 68 and it looks as though you may want to check if your horn relay is wired correctly.

It is a 1969, sorry about that, I had both red wires on the right post but changed just to test it, but my understanding is the configuration on the bar does not matter.
First check at the firewall- if no power there you might have damaged both fusible links
OK I just tested the two black wires coming out of the firewall and both have power ... so it must be the gauge? Weird it would have just stopped working
OK I tested the wire connections at the ammeter itself, and it IS receiving power. Now my question, as I currently cannot start the car due to a couple repairs I am making, should the ammeter needle move from -40 when I turn the accessories on?
