I bought one for my 78 from Corvette Kingdom in the UK. They weren't cheap but I wanted their advice about fitting it. If you haven't already removed your front clip, they have a method of replacing these panels with the clip in place. Take a look at the examples on their website. https://www.corvettekingdom.co.uk/WO...-frame-repairs
I have a feeling that early years cars have a slightly different panel to my 78 and I think I've read that the early years panels aren't available but that you can modify the later panels to suit. I guess these panels are expensive because they don't sell too many.

Yes, the 73 and up lower outer corners are made, but pre 73 are not. I spoke with the famous guy at CSC about it, and asked why he doesn't make them. The answer seemed to be about time and money, if I remember right. You can modify the 73 and up corners by adding steel, and carefully reproducing the angled area where the nylon windshield wiper door stop is riveted. I have never figured out what the long rectangular pad is for on the pre-73 lower windshield frames. Other than the fact that the wiper mechanism tab is bolted to the end of it.....but the rest of it appears to have no purpose.
Try Big City Corvettes , they have cut off some individual pieces of c3 steel for me . However if you ask them to cut up and ruin a 68-72 surround , they may want you to buy the whole thing .
Just how bad are they ? My 69 corners are still exposed , if you want to take some measurements.
