As a fan of drones and drone technology, I think that is a very cool bird! A flying drone tanker to refuel jets! Carrier based even!
I love this stuff! LOL!
Not sure the name "Stingray" belongs on a flying tanker though! LOL!
Even I, the keeper of the Stingray name on ACTUAL Stingray cars...accede to the 2014 Stingray. If it came from the factory with a Stingray name or Emblem then indeed it IS a Stingray.
I think this drone LOOKS like a Stingray.... notice the stinger tail!

As someone who was a pilot of a REAL tanker in the Air Force for 15 years, as currently configured that dog (the MQ-25) won't hunt. It's not even as large as an F/A-18, and is capable of offloading a minuscule 500 lbs of fuel. An F/A-18 burns that much fuel if it just strokes the burners for a few seconds, a very few seconds. It's not a "Stingray", it's a "****-ant". Supposedly, it's a "test bed" for proof of concept and wake turbulence evaluation. We'll see.

Thanks for sharing, it did seem like a small amount of fuel transferred per the article but having no experience there I did not comment!
