Default Need wire Identification help

1972 base model vette, non A/C, manual trans car. The first is a two prong connector on the right side, barely long enough to reach the head. It has two blue and two tan wires. It wasn't connected when I got it and it looks like it got too close to the headers and melted. I'm thinking some sort of sensor or emissions connector:

The second is the same area only shorter. One dark blue wire:

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Cabman,

The blue/tan connector is for the TCS solenoid that is most probably no longer attached to your intake manifold, or anywhere else on your car, for that matter. The single blue wire connector is for the temp switch for that system.

Thanks Larry! The original intake was not on the car when I got it so that makes sense as to why it wasn't connected. I guess I'll just cut off the connectors and tape up the wires to hide them. Another mystery solved!!
