So I have always had an intermittent problem with the wipers the relay went out and replaced it and the wipers looked like they good tested a couple of times no issues, the other day the 69 was out of the garage and got rained on I tried the wiper and the door opened the wipers moved slightly but then stopped. The fuse was blown, there was a 25 amp fuse in the fuse holder the fuse holder is marked for a 15 amp fuse I am thinking the motor is going bad and when the car was re-done they upped the fuse to compensate which worked a little.
How do I test the wiper motor? or does someone have something else to look at?
I agree with following along with the videos. Mine is also a 69 and was a mess, wires were connected wrong, vacuum canister had 4 holes and the the ground strap to the wiper motor was broken. When I finally got the motor to work, the wiper blade caught the bottom of the windshield and broke it. I say all this, so if you need detailed photos or advice, let me know so you don’t go down the path I did.

Is your car missing the wiper blade stop at the base of the windshield?
