Battling an oil leak on my 68 427. This is a freshly rebuilt motor. Zero miles
Doesn’t leak immediately on startup but once the engine warms up I have a fairly steady drip/almost stream coming off the bottom of timing cover/oil pan. Difficult to see because it’s also sort of spraying out with the air from the fan.
question- do big blocks have the hole that goes thru for the fuel pump push rod like small blocks? I don’t have any bolts in there because I didn’t think big blocks had that hole
Here's a photo of my '71 big block from when I removed the original timing chain set. Both holes on the passenger side have no bolts.
The driver's side uses the holes for the lower power steering pump bracket.
