Default Corvette C3 1975 - Matching Number???!!!

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, I'm from Rome, Italy.

I've recently purchased a 75 vette and I don't know how to find out if the enginge is a matching number.

This is what I've got:

On passenger side 1Z37J5S420367

On the engine (hardly visible) V0328DRL19L597984

Any information on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Flavio

Congrats on the car. According to the stamp on the engine pad, and your VIN, the engine is not original to the car.

Engine suffix "DRL" shows as a 1979 350 from a full-size Chevy (not a Corvette).

https://nastyz28.com/gm-chevy-codes/...s-suffix-4.php

DRL was not a suffix used in any C3, that I can see.

You can also check some of the other codes (trim, paint, etc) from codes found at the corvettec3.ca site.

Even if it's not the original motor (NOM), you have a Corvette in Italy. How cool is that? What does the rest of it look like?
