Timing Light Recommendation

Hey all. Seems my old timing light won’t reach from the battery back to the engine. Any recommendations on timing lights?

No need to go back to your battery. Find the fusible link to the starter (passenger side firewall) or the horn relay (driver side fender). These terminals are always 12 volts hot.

I hooked it up to the alt, all good 👍👍👍

I love the Flaming River self powered light. AA batteries is all you need for power.

Hot terminal on the horn relay works, too and is plenty close….

I usually grab the post at the back of the alternator for power.

I have that one. It is nice and all you will need. Very nice for reviewing timing curve after it is all set.
