Default Blueprint motor here..

So, I made the jump and purchased a Blueprint 355ci 390hp with 410tq motor. I have done everything else on this car from front rebuild, trailing arms, interior, wilwood brakes etc. but decided to have a local hotrod shop in Fort Worth do the engine swap along with a DeWitts w/ electric fan swap while hes in there. Not to mention new Body mounts. Here is my dyno sheet so am very excited it came in a little higher than advertised. Can't wait to wake this car up with the new engine.

Congrats on the new motor and best of luck with your build!
Show pics please! What trans are you running and what are your rear end gears?

From the sounds of it we have very common goals and builds. I have a 74 that I recently purchased a 357 BluePrint engine for, but have yet to remove it from the crate. I was also pleasantly surprised that the numbers came in at 394.1hp/433.5 tq.
I am currently in the process of front suspension upgrades as well as complete wiring harness replacement and all new interior.
Best of luck with your build and keep us posted with pics!! 👍😎👍

Thats great, very similar. I will definitely post pics and let you know how this thing runs barring any unforeseen issues which I am sure things will pop up just hoping for nothing drastic. It is the stock TH400 transmission and a rebuilt stock 336 rear end. One of my future goals is to replace the transmission with an OD trans in the next year. Best of luck to you also, look forward to seeing your build as well!

Pretty amazing how close they come on estimates even considering a known combination.

So I promised pictures and results after installing a new Blueprint 355. As is par for the course it ended up being a frame off repairing rust in the frame and the brackets for the body mounts. Was able to paint the entire frame with POR15 after some small patches. Overall the frame is in fantastic condition now and have all new body mounts. The body gaps are great and the car rides a lot better. As for the new motor, wow what a difference. It is a blast to drive and it goes a long way towards piece of mind for longer trips. Ive cruised it into Fort Worth a few times, sat in some traffic in fairly warm weather low 90's and the temp never goes above 190 with the new dewitts and electric fans even with the AC on. Before the engine swap I did put in a C4 blower fan for the AC and now with the new engine and a proper charge on the compressor the AC works great!! The air from the vents actually reach my face with nice cool air. Eventually will be doing a trans swap. I am debating on a T56 swap or an auto trans with OD. For now though I can just enjoy her. With the new C6 seats installed now we can ride in comfort and roast the tires whenever I feel like it!

Noticed the BP engines have the oil dipstick on the passenger side. How hard would it be to change the dipstick to the drivers side so it is on the same side as the original small block 350?

A friend and I stuck this exact engine in an 89' K-5 Blazer with 33" tires on it. I installed and tuned the Sniper EFI for it and the Hyperspark ignition.....it has a 700r4 and long tube headers, 2.5" exhaust.....a very nice install. Test drive felt just like my 5.3l LS 2010 Silverado that has a couple of bolt ons......it pulled very well for a 5000lb. truck with no gear for the tire. Not my choice for this truck...but the customer had it in a POS 76' Blazer that he baja'd til it started breaking stuff.....then we pulled engine and sent it to pasture......
Great engine and would run very well in a 3300 lb-ish Vette......

Thanks Jebby, thats been my experience so far. I am 400 miles into my 500 mile break in and she has more than enough power to have a lot of fun. Very happy with the results.
