Complete stereo and speaker replacement 81
My friend got a 1981 c3 and dropped a lot of money into the motor and trans etc. Has a single din aftermarket stereo currently. Original front dash speakers and aftermarket 4x6's in the rear. He likes the modern vintage ones they make ( his vette is white with red all original perfect shape interior). Looking for ideas to keep it clean stockish but get out some sound. It's a loud car, modified 400 with side exhaust by local Corvette tuner

Please post some pics! I can't hear anything over the sidepipes of my white on red 80, but YMMV.
To go completely stock, consider replacing the center console to remove the 1 DIN cut. Put in a stock radio for appearance, then hide a subwoofer and amp under the rear compartment.
